6-month contract position in Kansas City, MO.

About the role

The Full Stack Developer will execute projects and lead engineering teams to tackle key data-driven technology initiatives, reporting to the Innovation and Development Manager and collaborating with the national Innovation & Development team.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in user interviews to understand technical and customer needs.
  • Develop front-end website architecture based on Palantir Foundry.
  • Design user interactions on web pages within Palantir Foundry Workshop.
  • Develop back-end code logic leveraging semantic object linking (ontologies) within Palantir Foundry Pipeline Builder, Code Workbook, and Ontology Manager.
  • Create servers, databases, and datasets for functionality as needed.
  • Ensure health of data connections and pipelines (utilizing filesystem, JDBC, SFTP, and webhook).
  • Ensure conformance with security protocols and markings on sensitive data sets.
  • Ensure responsiveness of web applications developed on low-code/no-code solutions.
  • Ensure cross-platform optimization for mobile phones.
  • See through projects from conception to finished product.
  • Meet both technical and customer needs.
  • Stay abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.
  • Lead other engineers to develop features on your projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge in programming languages, coding principles, and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge in web development frameworks.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PPT).
  • Ability to obtain applicable certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Palantir Foundry experience.
  • Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript libraries such as Lodash, Math.js, Moment, Numeral, and es6-shim.
  • Proficiency with server-side languages for structured data processing: Python, PySpark, Java, Apache Spark, and SparkSQL.
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and others.
  • Familiarity with analytical tools for business intelligence and data science such as Power BI, Jupyter, and R Studio.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Team leadership experience.
