Summary

The Signal Integrity Engineer will play a critical role in the planning of digital PCB designs, simulation, lab verification, and troubleshooting signal integrity issues on completed designs. They will also be expected to help with design review of critical PCBs for signal integrity concerns. Good communications skills and ability to work with global teams is required.

Detailed Description

- Lead the design and development of complex technical solutions, including system architecture, schematics, BOMs, and detailed implementation plans. - Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, guiding design decisions and serving as a subject matter expert in high-speed systems and signal integrity. - Own project execution by contributing to planning, scheduling, and coordination of both technical and non-technical aspects, including resources and budget. - Review and interpret customer requirements, acting as a primary technical interface to ensure alignment and successful delivery. - Evaluate design trade-offs and recommend optimized solutions based on performance, cost, and manufacturability. - Drive system validation and characterization, including lab testing of high-speed digital interfaces and correlation between simulation and measurement results. - Execute and oversee physical layer compliance testing and ensure designs meet industry standards. - Lead strategic programs and coordinate cross-functional deployment initiatives across teams and sites. - Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and issue resolution. - Develop and maintain technical documentation, including reports, analysis summaries, and project updates to support decision-making. - Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and reliability. - Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve engineering capabilities.

Physical Demands

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. Occasional travel may be required.

Typical Experience

- Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience OR - Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience OR - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience.
