About the role
This role serves as a key pharmacy resource within a hospital setting, supporting safe and effective medication use across patient care areas. The position collaborates closely with physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to review medication orders, address drug therapy concerns, and support informed clinical decision-making. It also includes mentorship responsibilities for pharmacy learners and technicians, along with opportunities to contribute to educational and departmental initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource for drug information questions from medical staff and patients
- Approve new drug orders and process non-formulary requests
- Screen for drug interactions, allergies, and disease state interactions
- Cook up pharmaceutical needs with physicians and nursing staff
- Supervise Pharm.D. students and pharmacy technicians
- Provide educational programs for hospital staff
Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in Ohio
- Advanced degree (Pharm.D./MS)
- 1 year of residency training and/or equivalent experience preferred

Pay
$110,000 – $130,000 annually
