About the role
The ATLAS Department in the Fundamental Physics Directorate of the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (SLAC) seeks an outstanding candidate for a Staff Scientist position. The successful candidate is expected to play a leading role in the construction of the ATLAS Tracker (ITk) of the LHC High Luminosity Upgrade.
Responsibilities
- Play a leading role in the construction of the ATLAS Tracker (ITk) of the LHC High Luminosity Upgrade.
- Work closely with the whole ATLAS ITk team which consists of about 15 people.
- Be involved in all the loading and integration activities.
- Contribute to physics analysis if available.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. in Physics or relevant subject.
- Experience with detector hardware.
- Experience of managing teams of engineers, technicians, physicists is highly recommended.
