About the role

Harborview Medical Center’s Psychiatry Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Staff Scheduling Coordinator.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Schedule RN’s, Patient Service Specialists, and Patient Care Techs in scheduling software (UKG Pro).
  • Record keeping including tracking minimum shift requirements for intermittent staff members, and tracking timecard exceptions.
  • Process shifts requests.
  • Answer questions from staff members regarding staffing/scheduling questions.
  • Schedule staff members for last-minute shifts.
  • P practice fiscal responsibility by minimizing the use of overtime and maintaining productivity within target range.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of administrative experience.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Desired

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; this role will interact with staff members and communicate regularly with the hospital staffing office.
  • The ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
  • Computer literacy including UKG Pro. (can be learned on the job) and Outlook (email, Teams, OneDrive).
  • Knowledge of Union contacts (can be acquired on the job) to ensure scheduling complies with contact language.
