Staff RN II
About the Role
This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Responsibilities include directing PCA activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients and family, implementation of treatment plans, MD orders, documentation, and evaluation. Integration of patient care standards is incorporated into all clinical activities.

Responsibilities
- Direct PCA (Patient Care Assistant) activity
- Synthesize patient information and conduct assessments
- Plan and implement care/interventions
- Teach patients and families
- Execute treatment plans and MD orders
- Document and evaluate patient care
- Integrate patient care standards into all clinical activities
- Support organizational initiatives, including Customer Service, Patient’s Rights, and Confidentiality of Information
Requirements
- Graduate of an RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred
- One year of acute care experience preferred
- Basic computer skills preferred
Qualifications
- Current CA RN license
- Current BLS-HCP (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) (Excludes NICU)
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) (Labor & Delivery / OB Acute / NICU)
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) (Emergency Dept. only)
- Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia Class
- Optional: Unit-specific certification for RNs with at least 6 months of experience and successful completion of EKG competency exam
