Staff RN – Functional Care

About the role

Support patients regaining independence after illness, injury, or surgery, working closely with PT, OT, and speech therapy on a slower-paced but highly hands-on unit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver restorative nursing care alongside PT, OT, and speech therapy
• Track functional goals and progress toward discharge readiness
• Educate patients and families on home safety and self-care
• Manage medications, wound care, and chronic condition monitoring
• Document functional status changes for the interdisciplinary team

Requirements

• Current Nebraska RN license or active compact state license
• BLS certification required
• Rehabilitation or med/surg experience preferred

Estimated biweekly paycheck $1,802 take-home / 2 weeks Gross pay $2,310 Taxes & deductions $508 Rough estimate only, based on this pay rate. Actual withholding varies by filing status, state, and other deductions.

Schedule

Part-time: 3 shifts per week, every other weekend.
