STAFF RN, FH - 3W - CARDIAC PROGRESSIVE CARE

About the role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment, demonstrating competency in delivering care to primarily adult patients.

Requirements

• Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to the area of employment.
• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice normally acquired through completion of an accredited School of Nursing program, making the candidate eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a multi‑state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA‑approved equivalent must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or an AHA‑approved equivalent must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Newly hired or transferred RNs without a BSN (or higher) and with less than one year of RN experience must be accepted into an accredited BSN (or higher) program within 15 months of hire and complete it within five years; if pursuing an MSN, DNP, or PhD in Nursing without a BSN award, completion must be within six years. This requirement does not apply to non‑BSN hires who already hold a bachelor's or graduate degree in a field other than nursing.
