About the role
The Staff RN delivers nursing care to a patient care population in the assigned work shift, interpreting and executing the medical and nursing plan of treatment.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to infection prevention guidelines
- Adheres to policies, procedures, and standards of practice
- Affords age-specific individualized care
- Communicates with the patient, family, medical staff, and others during the continuum of care
- Maintains regulatory compliance
- Participates in professional development activities
- Provides patient and family education
- Utilizes safe administration of medications
- Utilizes safe patient handling techniques
- Performs discharge planning
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for complex discharge planning
- Develops a plan of care for bariatric surgery patients
- Ensures proper equipment and furniture for bariatric patients
- Manages IV access
- Applies the nursing process
Requirements
- Registered Nurse License
- BCLS or ACLS Certification
Qualifications
- Education: Degree or College Diploma in Nursing
- Experience: 1 year of relevant experience
