Job Summary

Duties And Responsibilities

Conducts decline curve analysis to generate short and long-term production forecasts to support budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making.

Designs and optimizes well spacing, completions strategies, and field development plans to enhance recovery, maximize economics, and minimize costs.

Evaluates and makes recommendations on potential acquisitions and divestitures.

Develops and maintains type curves and economic analyses for various AOIs.

Progresses well approvals from concept through executive approval, communicating trade-offs clearly.

Collaborates with the Well Performance team to incorporate reservoir simulations, PVT, RTA, and other diagnostic tools into asset level reservoir characterization.

Continually progresses the asset’s reserves strategy throughout the year.

Skills And Competencies

  • Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Proficient computer and data analysis skills.
  • Good working knowledge of industry economic software including ARIES.
  • Ability to use production curve analysis (Arps) to forecast reserve recoveries from reservoirs.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience.
  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
