Staff Radiology Technologist FT Day

About the role

The staff member is responsible for generating radiographic examinations utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment under the direction of the ordering physician and/or radiologist. The staff member must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations using diagnostic radiographic equipment.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
• Assess and interpret patient data to identify requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized program in Radiologic Technology (Associate Degree preferred).
• Connecticut State Licensure.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Registry-eligible candidates must pass the ARRT exam within 90 days of hire.
