About the role

The staff member is responsible for generating radiographic examinations utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment under the direction of the ordering physician and/or radiologist. The individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit, including knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the life span and the ability to assess patient status and interpret information needed to identify each patient’s requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic examinations using diagnostic radiographic equipment.
  • Provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Assess patient status and interpret information to identify patient requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized program in Radiologic Technology; Associates Degree preferred.
  • Connecticut State Licensure.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology; registry eligible candidates must pass ARRT exam within 90 days of hire.
