Staff Quality Engineer

About the role

The Staff Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality software development processes. They are responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance practices, collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve bugs, and continuously improving the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans to ensure software meets quality standards.
• Collaborate with developers to identify and fix bugs and issues in the software.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Document testing procedures and results to facilitate future improvements.
• Participate in regular meetings to discuss project progress and quality concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of database management systems and SQL.
• Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
