About the role

Provides clinical leadership and consultation to inpatient staff, persons served, and families. Delivers direct services to persons served, including community consultation and assessment. Offers education and support to persons served and their families. Coordinates service needs and collaborates with other services and agencies as necessary. Completes in vivo screenings and assessments of persons served as recommended by the interdisciplinary team. Performs psychological testing required for specific persons served. Assumes the Licensed Independent Practitioner role, functioning as a member of the facility medical/clinical staff and a credentialed provider in the program. Conducts assessments or testing for neurocognitive disorders and administers a battery of tests to differentiate diagnoses when needed, which may occur a few times a year.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychological testing required for specific persons served.
• Assume the Licensed Independent Practitioner role and function as a credentialed provider.
• Conduct assessments or testing for neurocognitive disorders and administer diagnostic tests as needed.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in clinical psychology or a related field and licensed as a Psychologist in California.
• Valid driver’s license, DMV clearance, and proof of insurance.
• Personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use your personal vehicle for meetings (weekly mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate).

Pay

Employee wage range: $64.45 - $79.60 per hour, plus a $450 bonus per facility each month for oversight support. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements. Independent Contractors are not eligible for company benefits and must provide their own malpractice insurance.

Schedule

On-Call. Shifts and days vary as needed.

Heritage Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) is a 26-bed hospital providing acute psychiatric treatment to adults over the age of 18. This role supports our Joint Commission-accredited PHFs, including Willow Rock, Heritage, and Santa Cruz facilities.
