About the role

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is a non‑profit, 519‑bed acute care teaching hospital and trauma center, the largest of its kind between Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 1888 by 50 women to serve the growing community, the hospital offers acute inpatient psychiatry and detoxification; residential alcohol, drug, and co‑occurring disorders; rehabilitation; and several levels of outpatient treatment services in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. Its approach to care is integrative, family‑oriented, and culturally sensitive, with treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs and modalities for dual diagnosis. Santa Barbara itself is a coastal city framed by the Santa Ynez Mountains, featuring Mediterranean‑style white stucco buildings with red‑tile roofs, upscale boutiques and restaurants on State Street, and the historic Mission Santa Barbara founded in 1786.
