Staff Psychiatrist

Facility: NHDOC facilities, Concord campus • Location: Concord, NH (onsite) • Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM • Employment type: W-2 or 1099 available

About the role

The Staff Psychiatrist is responsible for providing consultation, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment to inmates at their assigned correctional facility. Responsible for the delivery of contracted services, personnel, and coordination of psychiatric/behavioral health services and programs. Serves as the behavioral health liaison between Wexford Health and the correctional system.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric consultation, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment to inmates
• Deliver contracted psychiatric/behavioral health services and programs
• Coordinate personnel involved in psychiatric/behavioral health services
• Act as behavioral health liaison between Wexford Health and the correctional system

Requirements

• Current New Hampshire Medical license (at time of start date; assistance with NH licensure application available)
• Current New Hampshire Controlled Substance license and New Hampshire DEA (at time of start date)
• Current CPR certification (hands-on, at time of start date)
• Medical Degree with psychiatry residency required

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in an institutional healthcare setting preferred
