Staff Psychiatrist
About the role
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to combine clinical care with supervision of residents and medical students, with Harvard Medical School appointments. Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment and candidate qualifications including Massachusetts medical license, and being board certified/board eligible.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including history, mental status examination, risk assessment and formulation;
- Develop and manage individualized biopsychosocial treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team (e.g., social worker, nursing staff, group therapist);
- Overall care for an assigned inpatient caseload of up to 7 patients with occasional internal coverage for colleagues and weekend coverage.
Qualifications
- Harvard Medical School appointments;
- Massachusetts medical license;
- Board certified/board eligible.
