Staff Program Manager, Enterprise Technology and Security/Compliance
About The Role
As D-Wave scales its enterprise technology and security capabilities, we’re looking for a Staff Program Manager to lead complex, high-impact programs that enable the organization's most critical technology and security priorities. In this role, you’ll lead complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning Governance, Risk and Compliance, Security, Information Technology, and Transformation—working at the intersection of cloud technology, regulatory compliance, and organizational change. You’ll partner directly with ETS leadership, engineering, legal, and executive teams to turn ambiguous, high-stakes challenges into structured, well-executed programs. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where your ability to build trust, navigate complexity, and deliver results will directly shape the future of D-Wave’s enterprise foundation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification strongly preferred
- 7+ years of progressive experience in program or project management, with a strong track record of leading complex, cross-functional programs in enterprise technology, security, or compliance environments
- Demonstrated experience managing GRC, IT transformation, or security programs at scale; familiarity with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or FedRAMP is a strong asset
Skills
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills—able to build trust, influence without authority, and present complex program status with clarity
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving complex problems by bringing structure, sound judgment, and practical solutions to evolving business needs
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex risks, evaluate trade-offs, and make informed recommendations using data
- Experience working in or alongside quantum computing, deep-tech, or similarly innovative technology organizations is a plus
- Hands-on proficiency with project and program management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet; able to configure and tailor tooling to support program governance and team workflows
- Proven experience developing executive reporting and dashboards that communicate program health, risks, dependencies, and actionable insights for senior leadership
Pay
The Pay Range For This Role Is 120,000 - 150,000 USD per year(Remote (United States))
