Staff Product Manager - AV Capabilities

Responsibilities
- Own the product vision and roadmap for specific AV Capabilities and the underlying autonomy platform for GM’s next generation autonomy products, balancing engineering constraints, business needs, and internal platform dependencies.
- Communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions clearly across a wide spectrum of audiences from internal customers to executives.
- Synthesize technical and analytical insights into PRDs and requirements that provide engineers and partners with a clear understanding of what to do and why.
- Lead executives and key partners through sophisticated decisions to drive progress toward our strategic goals.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Program management, Data Science, Commercial operations, Systems Engineering and Consumer Product to define goals and the roadmap needed to reach them.
- Identify and lead improvements to the team's innovation and approach enabling us to scale our team and impact.
- Exemplify outstanding product development and management practices in everything you touch.
- Define, track, and analyze key product metrics and performance data to measure success and identify improvement areas.
- Stay updated on new technology and competitive products to drive continuous improvement, anticipate threats, and identify risks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management or related industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fields.
- Proven experience with technical product management and leading the entire product lifecycle from concept to introduction.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data.
- Excellent presentation abilities to drive a concrete vision and rally the team.
- Technical proficiency in problem-solving with complex software solutions.
- Experience defining vision and strategy for robotics or autonomy software products.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive stakeholder buy-in.
- Proven oral and written communication skills; ability to become fluent in technical concepts and explain to non-technical partners.
- Comfortable with complex and ambiguous problems and situations, and adept at identifying a project’s risks.
- Enthusiastic and resilient in a constantly evolving environment where creative solutions are the norm.
Qualifications
- MBA or Masters in related technical fields (preferred).
- Experience working on Autonomous Vehicle (AV) teams on ML/AI models (preferred).
- Experience fostering innovation and driving change in complex organizations (preferred).
- Experience shipping hardware or AI driven consumer products (preferred).

- Able to build alignment across engineering, infrastructure, and other cross-functional teams.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, make tough tradeoffs, and translate business needs into engineering priorities.

Pay
The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area. The salary range for this role is $134,700 to $245,00. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Schedule
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren, MI or Mountain View, CA office three times per week, at minimum.
