Staff Product Manager

About the role

Nexcess is building the next generation of WordPress hosting and software, with AI integrated into how customers build, launch, manage, and grow their sites. We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the product strategy and roadmap for Managed WordPress and Managed WooCommerce and to identify and advance high-value AI capabilities within those offerings. This is a senior individual-contributor role with broad product leadership responsibility. You will shape the products’ target customer segments, value propositions, feature sets, and go-to-market approaches.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the multi-year product vision and roadmap for Managed WordPress and Managed WooCommerce.
• Identify, prioritize, and drive the development of AI-powered features that deliver measurable customer and business value.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure successful product delivery and adoption.
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform product decisions.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
• Act as the primary product evangelist, both internally and externally, to build alignment and excitement around the product direction.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of delivering successful software products.
• Deep expertise in WordPress, WooCommerce, or related web hosting ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and their practical applications in SaaS products.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment with cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence and lead without direct authority.

Pay

USD 150,000 – 190,000 per year
