About the role

Building at Webflow will need grit, because we move fast, without ever sacrificing craft or quality. We're looking for a Staff Product Manager, AI to set the direction for how AI shows up across Webflow's platform. This is our Agent Access area, spanning the Webflow AI Assistant inside the Designer, the 3rd-party agents that reach Webflow through MCP, the Agent Instructions that guide them, and the platform underneath that powers it all. It's early, fast-moving territory. Much of what "good" looks like for AI-assisted creation hasn't been written yet, and you'll define it.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Webflow's agent surfaces: the Webflow AI Assistant, MCP, Agent Instructions, and the AI platform underneath that powers our prompt-based agent experiences.
  • Set the direction and drive it through to delivery with Engineering, Design, and Data.
  • Sequence the work so the surfaces reinforce each other, build shared primitives once so they serve 1st-party and 3rd-party agents alike, and keep teams aligned so we ship a coherent product rather than the org chart.
  • Define the quality bar for agent experiences, and the evals, guardrails, and metrics that hold the whole area to it.
  • Serve developers and creators at the same time. Balance developer-grade surfaces like MCP and APIs against an approachable assistant for visual, less-technical creators, without shortchanging either.
  • Drive alignment across Webflow, not just your own teams. Represent the agent area to leadership, turn strategy into committed plans, and navigate cross-functional disagreement across Engineering, GTM, and beyond independently and constructively.
  • Roll up your sleeves and build. Product Managers at Webflow deliver value any way they can, up to and including contributing to the product directly in code. You'll prototype ideas, ship improvements yourself where it helps, and stay close enough to the implementation to make sharp product calls.
  • Raise the bar for the craft around you. Set reusable patterns and standards other teams build on, and mentor PMs and partners as the agent practice grows.

Requirements

  • BS / BA college degree or relevant experience.
  • Have 8+ years of product management experience, with deep expertise in AI-powered systems and a track record of owning strategy for large, ambiguous product areas.
  • Experience with platforms, APIs, and extensibility.
  • Know where LLM-based tools shine and where they break down, from substantial hands-on work with AI agent systems, code generation, or programmable interfaces.
  • Define the quality bar for agent experiences, and the evals, guardrails, and success metrics that keep quality high when outputs vary from run to run, and get a team to hold to them.
  • Balance developer-grade tools and approachable products for less-technical creators, and hold both in view without shortchanging either.
  • Enjoy the full craft of building software. You're curious about every part of how products get made and like getting into the details wherever the work needs you, whether that's opening a pull request, leading a user interview, prototyping an idea, writing a query to pin down a metric, or writing a sharp brief.
  • Lead through influence rather than authority. You set strategy and bring Engineering, Design, GTM, and leadership along, holding your own with senior stakeholders and moving decisions forward without waiting to be told.
  • Stay curious, building fluency in emerging AI to speed up both your own work and your team's.
