About the role
BetterUp is pioneering human transformation at scale. As a Staff Product Designer, Growth, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and driving growth through design.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design strategy and execution for BetterUp’s full Growth surface.
- Lead growth test design: rapidly ideate, prototype, and iterate on conversion and activation experiments.
- Define and evolve the onboarding experience, reducing friction and building habits.
- Design and maintain sign-up, login, and identity flows that are seamless, secure, and optimized for conversion.
- Translate ambiguous growth briefs into clear design frameworks and testable hypotheses.
- Partner with senior product, engineering, and marketing leaders to shape Growth’s product direction and long-term roadmap.
- Mentor designers and elevate design craft across the Growth team.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product design experience, with meaningful depth in Growth, conversion optimization, or funnel-stage product surfaces.
- Proven track record running and learning from high-cadence design experiments.
- Experience designing onboarding flows, email/notification systems, and auth experiences for consumer or B2B SaaS products.
- A portfolio demonstrating both sharp interaction design craft and a data-informed approach to design decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to influence product direction at a senior leadership level.
- Experience mentoring designers and fostering both autonomy and alignment on cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and a track record of aligning stakeholders around a shared design vision.

Pay
The base salary range for this role is as follows:
- New York City and San Francisco: $220,000 - $276,000
- Austin and Arlington: $198,000 - $248,000
