Staff Product Designer, Design Systems

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy and evolution of the design system, Alpaca
• Extend the system for AI-driven product patterns and components
• Partner with cross-product teams to define and document new guidelines
• Establish governance models for consistent design contributions
• Promote design system adoption through education and proactive engagement
• Represent design systems work in cross-functional forums
• Mentor designers on systems thinking and design best practices
• Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design throughout all components

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience in complex B2B SaaS
• Deep expertise in scalable design systems and component architecture
• Proficient in interaction design, typography, color theory, and accessibility principles
• Experience collaborating with front-end engineers and understanding design-to-code fidelity
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including managing shared libraries
• Strong soft skills for influencing and building alignment across stakeholders
• Proven track record in mentoring designers and promoting systems literacy
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Pay

$130,000 – $160,000 annually
