Staff Product Data Scientist, Infrastructure

Job Summary

The Product Data Science team at Waymo is seeking a skilled Operations Research specialist to build and maintain data science models to support infrastructure decisions. This role involves designing and implementing quantitative measurement frameworks to assess the efficiency of Waymo's infrastructure and collaborating with Supply Operations partners to ensure strategic alignment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data science models to support infrastructure decisions
• Design and implement quantitative measurement frameworks to assess the efficiency of Waymo's infrastructure
• Identify areas for improvement in Waymo's infrastructure
• Collaborate with XFN partners on Supply Operations to ensure strategic alignment

Requirements

• Solid background and applied work experience in operations research, optimization, or supply chain
• Master’s degree in a highly quantitative field (e.g., Operations Research, Optimization, Supply Chain, or a related discipline)
• Preferred: Ph.D. in Operations Research, Optimization, Supply Chain, or a related quantitative field

Qualifications

• Experience with data analysis and modeling
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is $230,000—$284,000 USD. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
