Staff Practice Accountant (Service Revenue)

Job Description

The Staff Accountant, Practice Accounting, reports to the Manager of Practice Accounting and supports the month-end close and financial reporting process within a specific functional pod on the operational accounting team. This role is responsible for preparing journal entries and reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with US GAAP.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Affiliate with monthly close activities, including consolidations and preparation of financial statements.
• Support the Senior Accountant and Manager in variance analysis and financial reviews.
• Maintain organized supporting documentation for all accounting transactions.
• Afford assistance in preparing schedules and analyses for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
• Participate in implementing new accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Support ad hoc projects and analyses as needed.

Required or Preferred Qualifications

• 0-4+ years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
• Working knowledge of Workday or other ERP platforms is a plus
• Active CPA license or working toward CPA license preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required (Master's degree preferred)
