Staff Platform Engineer, Core Cloud Platform

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the Cloud and Kubernetes platform
• Improve security, reliability, cost efficiency, and performance of infrastructure
• Drive standardization and eliminate duplication in processes
• Collaborate with Product teams for service development and ownership
• Work with cross-functional Platform teams for cohesive quality output
• Enable self-service workflows to support a Build it - Own it model
• Create AI-powered tools to simplify infrastructure management
• Provide operational support for globally distributed engineering teams
• Automate and execute operational tasks on critical systems
• Architect and implement maintainable and straightforward solutions

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and AWS cloud services
• Track record of managing Kubernetes and cloud-based SaaS systems at scale
• Deep knowledge of networking and production-level service meshes and gateways
• Strong troubleshooting skills relating to Kubernetes and associated technologies
• Proficient in Python and Golang, ideally through developing infrastructure tooling
• Experience advocating for effective CI/CD practices
• Ability to design and lead ambitious technical roadmaps

Pay

$223,100 – $305,000 annually
