Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related industry experience
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership and ownership of complex systems
- Strong proficiency in at least two general-purpose languages: C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Go
- System design and architecture experience for production systems used by multiple teams, including tradeoff analysis and maintainability planning
- Platform engineering or developer tooling experience building CI/CD systems, internal tools, developer portals, or infrastructure automation
- Azure cloud expertise with strong working knowledge of services such as Container Apps, App Services, Azure DevOps, API Management, networking, and IAM
- Infrastructure-as-Code expertise in Terraform (preferred) or equivalent, including reusable module design and multi-environment patterns
- Strong communication and influence skills with ability to drive technical alignment across teams without direct authority
- Mentorship track record helping other engineers grow through coaching, design review, and technical leadership
Nice to Have
- Define and scale internal developer platform capabilities
- Datadog, OpenTelemetry, or deep observability implementation experience
- Azure DevOps pipeline architecture experience (template libraries, governance, service connection strategy)
- Experience driving Blue/Green deployments and disaster recovery improvements
- Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into engineering workflows
- Familiarity with DORA metrics and engineering productivity measurement
- Experience in financial services, credit unions, or regulated environments
- Open-source contributions or technical writing/public speaking
