Staff Physician - Pediatrics Adolescent Medicine

About the role

Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center is recruiting a BC/BE full-time Adolescent Medicine Physician.

Responsibilities

• Join 4 Adolescent Medicine fellowship-trained pediatricians, as well as 2 nurse practitioners and other subspecialists
• Multidisciplinary clinical practice, with a concentration on pre-teens, teens, and young adults with subspecialty adolescent medicine disorders
• Divisional clinical activities include the treatment of complex medical/psychosocial disorders, eating disorders, weight management, substance abuse disorders, adolescent GYN, and male and female reproductive health
• Clinical responsibilities involve both outpatient clinical work and consultation on inpatient units
• Opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows
• Opportunities to initiate and participate in clinical research and quality projects
• Initiate and participate in scholarly projects
• Enroll in the institution's Junior Faculty Development program

Requirements

• MD, D.O., or foreign equivalent
• BC/BE in Pediatrics
• BC/BE in Adolescent Medicine preferred
• Ability to acquire a license to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• A strong commitment to patient care, medical student and resident education and research/scholarly activity is necessary
