Staff Physician (O-5 Billet) Non-Supervisory

About the role

You will practice mission-focused medicine as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Public Health Service. Your role involves providing comprehensive primary and urgent care to individuals in federal custody while working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary federal healthcare system.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
• Must have a current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state where the facility is located.
• Must be willing to travel to various locations across the United States.
• Must have experience in providing care to medically diverse and underserved populations.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or a related specialty.
• Experience in providing care to medically diverse and underserved populations.
• Experience in providing care in a detention setting.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
