Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients by taking an appropriate medical history and completing a physical examination as indicated.
- Coordinate relevant age-appropriate preventative health screening.
- Perform minor surgical procedures.
- Direct and coordinate activities of medical assistants and other medical staff.
- Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary and provide consultation and assistance to other physicians as needed.
- Complete forms for schools and regulatory agencies regarding patients' health, medications, and medical clearance.
- Actively manage a panel of patients using multiple resources including patient registries, telephone and secure message communication, and assistance from other medical support staff.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (M.D.) or foreign equivalent.
- Valid and current medical license to practice medicine in the State of California.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.
