Staff Physician

About the role

South Plains Rural Health Services (SPRHS) is seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Staff Physician to join their team at Howard County Community Health Center in Big Spring, TX.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient care aligned with your specialty
• Develop patient-centered care plans, including exams, diagnosis, and follow-up
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests in a cost-effective manner
• Care for patients in a way that aligns with your specialty
• Coordinate referrals and ensure continuity of care
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and staff meetings
• Support public health efforts and patient education
• Maintain eligibility to serve on local hospital medical staff
• Supervise NPs

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Texas Medical License (or ability to obtain)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice
• Current BLS certification
• Commitment to health equity and community care
• Ability to work well in a team-based, multidisciplinary setting
• Eligible to supervise mid-level providers and serve on staff

Qualifications
