About the role
Harbor Health Services is an innovative, growing, mission-based organization dedicated to helping individuals reach their full potential through accessible, affordable services promoting health. We serve over 34,000 patients in Boston, the South Shore, and Cape Cod, operating two Programs for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly and a WIC Nutrition Program.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a primary care provider for a panel of patients, organizing and managing their care, including outpatient visits, communication, inpatient care, and specialty care referrals.
- Provides routine health maintenance by performing interval well visits, assessing health risks, promoting disease prevention, and practicing evidence-based medicine.
- Manages acute illness and chronic conditions, provides or arranges for patient education, and participates in an on-call system with other physicians.
- Participates in evening/weekend/holiday clinic schedules, provider staff meetings, departmental meetings, and quality improvement sessions.
- Supervises mid-level practitioners, reviews problem cases, and provides teaching.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Requirements
Completed accredited physician residency in Family Practice, current Massachusetts MD, DO license, DEA, Mass Controlled Substance Registration, and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Certification. Board certified. Experience with Office 365, EMR (EPIC/OCHIN), and a community health center population preferred. Bilingual (Portuguese or Spanish and English) a plus.
Qualifications
Required: Completed accredited physician residency in Family Practice. Current Massachusetts MD, DO license, DEA, Mass Controlled Substance Registration, and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Certification. Board Certified.
Skills
Experience with Office 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, and EMR (EPIC/OCHIN).

Pay
$220,000 annualized.
Schedule
Open to Full Time or Part Time Hours, or a short-term assignment for 4-6 months.
