Staff Pharmacist Part Time

Responsibilities

• Hold a pharmacist license in good standing in the applicable state(s); additional state licensure may be required to support business needs.
• Enter and verify prescription information.
• Perform concurrent and/or retrospective drug utilization reviews (DUR), applying professional and clinical judgment in interpreting medical information and entering patient profiles and prescription data in compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws.
• Apply professional judgment in the interpretation and dispensing of patient medication, including packaging, preparation, and labeling of drugs.
• Provide oral and written information to patients and physicians.
• Conduct drug regimen reviews.
• Receive oral prescription drug orders, transcribe them to written form, and contact physicians as needed for clarification.
• Participate in training for Quality Assurance, DUR, Dr. Calls, and Product Verification.

Requirements

• Active Hawaii Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• BS or PharmD degree in Pharmacy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction with pharmacy staff, patients, and healthcare providers.
• Ability to effectively manage frequent phone communications and extended computer‑based tasks.
• Self‑motivated learner capable of quickly mastering complex pharmacy and healthcare technology systems.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities.

Schedule

• Preferred: Monday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Tuesday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Wednesday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (may adjust according to business need).
• Anticipated weekly hours: 20 (part‑time).

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $60.58 – $101.54 (base hourly rate or annual salary). Actual compensation will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay.
