Staff Nurse - Women & Family - Per Diem

About the role

This position is responsible for providing safe therapeutic care to patients, particularly those undergoing obstetric operative or invasive procedures. The role includes scrubbing, circulating, and recovering for cesarean sections as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements individual care plans for patients, documenting the care plan.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from a National League of Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or equivalent accredited school of nursing.
• Completed nursing education program with clinical experiences with actual patients under qualified faculty supervision.
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers upon hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) upon hire.
• STABLE within 6 months of hire.
• BLS/ACLS enrollment within 6 months of hire.
• Completion of Baby Friendly coursework (Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding) within 6 months of hire.
• Completion of Relias Fetal monitoring within 3 months of hire.
• Completion of additional coursework such as GE Health Systems, AWHONN Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced Fetal Monitoring if not previously completed.
• Completion of a Labor and Delivery class approved by AWHONN within 3 months of hire.
• Experience with fetal monitoring, high-risk labor/delivery, neonatal, and postpartum management preferred.
