About the role

Join UChicago Medicine as a Staff Nurse in Labor and Delivery. At the Family Birth Center, we offer a customized birth experience in a nurturing environment, supporting pregnant women and their partners and families through pregnancy, childbirth, bonding, breastfeeding, and healing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient-centered care that is outcome-directed
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care provided
  • Assume primary responsibility and accountability for all patient care personally provided and that provided by those directly under your supervision

Requirements

  • Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing
  • Associate Degree in Nursing; enrolled in a BSN program within six to nine months of hire, and make progress toward and complete your BSN degree within 30 months
  • Active Illinois RN license
  • Current BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Labor and Delivery RN experience

Benefits

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis.

Pay

Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity.

Schedule

Full-time, 0.9 FTE Shift: Nights, 7:00pm - 7:00am, every other weekend required
