Staff Nurse - REI Clinic (North Dodge) (80%)

Position Summary

Achieves nursing care needs by assessing patients, evaluating care provided, and integrating nursing theory and research.

Duties To Include

• Applies nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patient responses to health and illness.
• Affirms patient health care preferences and expectations through collaborative coordination of the continuum of care.
• Develops patient care plans based on patient conditions, ages, and psychological, educational, and socioeconomic conditions.
• Implements care plans according to patient priorities, including interventions identified through nursing diagnoses.
• Documents/reports interventions and patient/family responses, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement transfer/discharge planning.
• Follows universal precautions while implementing nursing interventions according to departmental, divisional, and unit policies, procedures, and protocols.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills demonstrated through written and verbal interactions.
• Current license to practice nursing in Iowa by date of hire.

Qualifications

• An Associate’s Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader, or a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required.
• 5+ years of OBGYN nursing experience is preferred.

Pay

$61,183 minimum at 100% effort to commensurate.

Schedule

Monday–Friday 8-hour shifts with varying report times based on procedure suite needs. Includes weekend and holiday coverage with a rotation that requires up to 1-2 weekends a month and 1 holiday a year. Weekend/holiday coverage is typically no more than four - six hours per day and may be canceled if clinic support is not needed.
