Staff Nurse - Pediatric Inpatient and Outpatient Dialysis

About the role

The University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Nursing seeks a Staff Nurse to assist members of the Nursing team in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform specific tasks to assist members of the Nursing team in providing patient care
• Work 40 hours per week, rotating shifts including day shifts, Monday - Friday
• Every 3-6 weeks, take 1-3 night calls

Requirements

• Current license to practice nursing in Iowa by date of hire
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
• General computer skills

Qualifications

• An Associate’s Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader, or a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required
• 2 years current or recent (within last 12 months) acute pediatrics or adult care experience, including experience caring for renal/dialysis patients

Pay

$60,000 minimum at 100% effort to commensurate *This does not include differentials. Salary will vary based on years of experience and percent of effort.*
