About the Role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, focusing on family-centered care for patients of all ages and developmental stages.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient-centered, quality, safety, and systems-based practices.
- Lead and mentor staff, including precepting new employees.
- Support collaboration with providers to ensure efficient operations and high-quality pediatric care.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and informatics tools.
- Participate in education and quality improvement initiatives.
- Adapt to temporary assignments across various hospital areas based on patient needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) or obtaining it within 5 years.
- License to practice in Ohio and current BLS certification.
- Experience in nursing, preferably with pediatric or sleep populations, and task management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with EMR systems like Epic is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of diverse patient populations.
Schedule
Full-time, onsite role with no holiday, night, or weekend shifts. May involve temporary assignments across hospital departments.
