Staff Nurse - Nursing Float Pool - Adult Acute Care Tier 2 Night Shifts

All qualified applicants are eligible for a sign on incentive of up to $12,500 University of Iowa Health Care is seeking skilled staff nurses for their Nursing Float Pool (Tier 2) — also known as the Enterprise Staffing Pool — for Adult Acute Care Services. These staff nurses will circulate several services to cover acute care units at University of Iowa Health Care University Campus, UI Health Care Downtown Campus, and UI Health Care North Liberty Campus. Key Areas Of Responsibility Applies nursing theory to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to health and illnessAssesses patient health care preferences and expectationsCollaboratively coordinates the continuum of care across settingsDevelops patient care plan based on patient condition, age, and psychological, educational, and socioeconomic conditions that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomesImplements patient care plan according to patient priorities, which includes interventions identified through nursing diagnoses. Documents/reports interventions and patient/family responseCollaborates and integrates contributions of patients and families into multidisciplinary patient care planDevelops, coordinates and implements transfer/discharge planning throughout episode of careImplements nursing interventions according to department, division, and/or unit policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
