About the role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care across biological, physical, behavioral, social, and clinical sciences, focusing on family-centered care for diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct nursing care within the scope of practice.
- Deliver physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety support for patients of all ages and developmental stages.
- Lead and perform professional duties, patient-centered care, quality improvement, and safety initiatives.
- Contribute to staff education, precept new employees, and act as a clinical mentor.
- Engage in evidence-based practice, promote collaboration with providers, and support team operations for optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize informatics and technology systems, with flexibility for temporary assignments across different units.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Leadership abilities, strong communication, organizational skills, and customer service orientation.
- Experience working collaboratively within an organization and proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and deliver accurate results.
Education & Licensing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or to be obtained within 5 years.
- Active RN license in Ohio (Multistate License required within 90 days if applicable).
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of one year of relevant healthcare experience preferred.
