Staff Nurse (LPN) - Cortez Clinic

About the Role

MCR Health is seeking a Staff LPN Nurse for the Cortez Clinic in Bradenton, FL. This role involves providing vital signs, interviewing patients and families, charting, and collaborating with healthcare providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to time and attendance policy as written in the employee handbook
• Float to alternative locations as instructed by supervisor with short notice to ensure adequate site coverage
• Provide vital signs, interview the patient/family, and chart
• Collaborate with healthcare providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the needs of patients and peers
• Maintain positive effective communication with providers, supervisors, and peers
• Ensure Provider's orders are directed to various appropriate departments
• Assist Providers as requested with exams, procedures, removal of sutures, etc.
• Complete medication and DME authorizations for patients in a timely manner
• Perform walk-in triage and interventions regarding patients' age under the leadership of the Clinical Nurse Leader

Qualifications

• HS/GED required
• Current LPN license in good standing with the Florida Board of Nursing
• 1+ years Clinical experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred
• Current CPR certification required
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
• Must be flexible, resourceful, and able to troubleshoot
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities
• Pride in the job you do and the image you present to patients & visitors
• Positive can-do attitude
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
