Staff Nurse - Full Time, Night Shift

About the Role

Provides comprehensive nursing care to a group of patients, acting as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, implementing, and evaluating care with a focus on safety, effectiveness, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families on health promotion and disease management
• Administers medications safely following policies, utilizing pharmacology knowledge
• Ensures productivity and resource management, including staffing and supplies
• Complies with practice standards, regulations, and policies
• Supports Nursing Shared Governance through participation in unit councils and improvement initiatives
• Engages in professional development and evidence-based practice
• Creates a supportive environment for new staff and students
• Performs Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator duties when assigned

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
• Current NYS RN License or NYS Limited Permit as a GN

Qualifications

Preferred: BSN, clinical experience in acute or ambulatory settings, professional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC).
