About the role
Seeking an experienced registered nurse responsible for assessing, planning, delegating, and coordinating nursing care for a patient group. The role involves acting as a primary or accountable nurse, ensuring safety, effectiveness, and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for a patient group
- Act as a primary or accountable nurse
- Ensure safety, effectiveness, and cost efficiency in care delivery
- Provide patient and family education on health promotion and disease management
- Administer medications following established policies
- Manage resources related to staffing and supplies
- Comply with practice standards and regulations
- Support shared governance initiatives
- Engage in ongoing professional development and integrate current nursing research into practice
- Provide mentorship for new staff and students
- Perform duties associated with charge nurse or shift coordinator roles when assigned
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- Current NYS RN license or valid NYS Limited Permit as a GN
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Preferred: Clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care
- Preferred: Professional certification
- Preferred: Relevant skills certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC)
