Staff Nurse - Behavioral Health Unit

About the Role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care grounded in biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. The role focuses on assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient-centered care for individuals or groups, with an emphasis on safety and education across all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, family-centered nursing care
• Lead and mentor clinical staff, fostering teamwork
• Support quality improvement, safety, and evidence-based practices
• Utilize technology and informatics for patient care
• Participate in system-based practices and interdepartmental collaboration
• Perform duties across various hospital areas as needed

Qualifications

• BSN required or to be obtained within 5 years of hire
• Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
• Valid Ohio RN license (Multistate license preferred)
• Minimum of one year healthcare experience preferred

Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (preferred)
