About the role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care, applying knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct family‑centered care for individuals or groups within their scope.
- Deliver comprehensive care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
- Perform leadership, professional duties, and patient‑centered care activities.
- Engage in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and staff education, including mentoring new employees.
- Apply evidence‑based practices and support collaborative, team‑oriented healthcare delivery.
- Utilize informatics and technology systems effectively.
- Support systems‑based practices and adapt to temporary assignments across healthcare areas as needed.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- BSN required or obtained within 5 years of hire.
- Current RN licensure in Ohio.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Experience in healthcare and familiarity with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate within teams and deliver excellent customer service.
