About the role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care with a family-centered approach.
- Delivering holistic care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages.
- Performing leadership, professional duties, and patient-centered care tasks.
- Engaging in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
- Participating in staff education, mentoring, and precepting new employees.
- Applying evidence-based practices and supporting collaborative team efforts to ensure efficient, high-quality care and excellent customer service.
- Utilizing informatics and technology systems, with potential temporary assignments across various units.
- Performing system-based duties and other responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or completion within five years of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Ohio.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience (preferred).
Skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience working within healthcare settings and familiarity with electronic medical records (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (required).
- Leadership capabilities and teamwork orientation essential.
