About the role

The Multifamily Construction Manager oversees construction sites, sub-contractors, and workers to ensure high quality and safety. This role ensures all work aligns with approved manuals, procedures, contract documents, and permitted designs. The Construction Manager communicates project progress and schedules with site personnel, updates the Project Manager, and ensures proper site operation and communication before final QC inspection sign-off.

Responsibilities

  • Manages quality and safety through jobsite visits and photo review
  • Documents site visit findings to track and drive timelines
  • Travels up to 5 nights per week to visit projects in the field
  • Communicates with project manager when field issues arise
  • Follows up on previous escalations to ensure completion
  • Reviews and enforces safety plans throughout the project lifecycle
  • Responsible for final job close-out and commissioning verification
  • Performs daily in-person analysis of workmanship quality

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in general industry, construction, engineering, or electrical trade work
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in commercial construction trades
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful layout and print reading experience
  • Must maintain a clean driving record and pass a driving background check
  • Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office/Google Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations (Federal, OSHA, and state programs)
  • Strong working knowledge of 3-phase electrical and utility electrical service requirements
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in communication and customer interaction
  • Journeyman electrical certification preferred

Physical Demands

  • Ability to drive a vehicle during the normal course of business
  • Ability to transport materials and equipment (up to 50 pounds frequently, up to 100 pounds with assistance)
  • Ability to climb extension ladders and work in attics, crawl spaces, and on pitched rooftops
  • Ability to work safely on construction jobsites and in warehouses
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time

Pay

Starting salary for this opportunity: $88,185.97 to $117,581.29. Compensation decisions will not be based on a candidate's salary history.
