Staff Mammographer, 1.5 hours/week

This professional technologist position contributes to the Hospital’s mission by independently performing mammographic examinations in accordance with department protocols, ACR imaging standards, and safety standards. You will work with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, PACS, and other related medical imaging tools, impacting quality, safety, and the patient experience as part of the Breast Care Center team.

Responsibilities

• Greet, escort, assess, educate, and identify patients, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable while fulfilling all safety and quality checks, including verifying exam orders.
• Complete patient history questionnaires and enter data into Meditech.
• Conduct mammography exams, assisting patients in disrobing while respecting their privacy and modesty.
• Educate and inform patients and family members throughout their experience.
• Electronically scan, send, and store images and data appropriately in PACS.
• Prepare patients and rooms for mammography-guided breast needle localization examinations, assisting the radiologist by capturing radiologic images of the targeted area.
• Respond to supply and equipment issues promptly to ensure optimal operations, equipment quality, and long-term maintenance.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology and/or appropriate training to obtain a license.
• At least 1 year of experience as a radiologic technologist, including training in mammography.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification and registration as a radiographer and mammographer.
• Massachusetts DPH Radiation Control Program Radiography and Mammography License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $46.00 - $68.35 per hour. The actual compensation is determined based on factors such as seniority, education, training, relevant experience, certifications, geography, job responsibilities, shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime, and other applicable pay practices.

Schedule

1.5 hours per week, located at Unicorn Park, Woburn, MA.
