Staff IT Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build internal platforms, tools, automations for reliability, scalability, and efficiency of IT operations.
• Own technical patterns for identity, access, lifecycle automation, endpoint trust, SaaS provisioning, and operational reporting.
• Develop scripts, integrations, services using Python, Bash, REST APIs, webhooks, Git, GitHub, CI/CD.
• Partner with Engineering, InfoSec, Compliance, and other teams to support AI-first operations, Zero Trust, HIPAA, SOC 2, and secure AI adoption.
• Apply DevOps, SRE, ITIL-aligned practices for monitoring, change management, incident response, documentation, and continual improvement.

Requirements

• 7+ years in IT engineering, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, systems engineering, or related.
• Strong scripting/software development: Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience building integrations with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, service accounts, API authentication.
• Strong experience with identity/endpoint platforms: Okta, Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365.
• Strong understanding of least privilege access, device trust, conditional access, non-human identity governance, auditability, Zero Trust.

Preferred Qualifications

• SaaS automation or iPaaS platforms: Workato, Okta Workflows.
• Infrastructure-as-code, configuration-as-code, AWS, Lambda, IAM, Linux admin, GitHub Actions.
• Support for enterprise AI platforms, agentic AI workflows, AI-enabled automation, internal AI tooling.
• AI governance: agent identity, tool access, data boundaries, human-in-the-loop, AI activity logging.
• Experience in healthcare, regulated environments, high-growth startups, or rapidly scaling enterprise IT.

Pay

Salary: $138,000 – $190,000 per year (base); may include stock options and other benefits.
