Staff Internal Auditor (Spanish Speaking)

About the role
The role is a dynamic Staff Internal Auditor who will work as an integral part of our Americas Internal Audit team. The successful candidate will communicate effectively with staff at all levels to quickly understand business processes, identify potential risk areas and help devise practical solutions to issues affecting our company. They will work closely with the more senior members of the team, evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of Live Nation's operational and Sarbanes-Oxley controls and will be as comfortable working in a close-knit team environment as working independently. Given the nature of the role, they will travel around 15-20% of the time, with the majority of that time spent on remediation.
Responsibilities
- Audit and evaluate internal financial and operational controls across Live Nation businesses.
- Monitor and follow-up on audit issues, with a focus on remediation.
- Evaluate internal controls related to the Group’s accounting and financial reporting functions in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Gain a detailed understanding of processes currently in operation within each location and identify key controls and risks.
- Identify improper accounting or documentation, research issues, and make recommendations to improve policies or procedures.
- Document walkthroughs of financial processes, including key controls, systems, and information produced by the entity.
- Help develop and foster relationships with Local Management.
- Communicate with External Auditors on management of audit requests; discussions of audit findings and related risks and controls.
- Communicate with process owners to understand controls, address potential findings, and recommend solutions to issues identified.
- Participate in peer and upward feedback.
- Ad-hoc reviews / projects.
Requirements
- Relevant university degree, commencement of or desire to commence study for professional qualification (CPA, CIA).
- Business professional proficiency in Spanish required.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to work independently on occasion with minimal supervision, reporting findings directly to Management.
- Able to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
- Able to think laterally to resolve issues.
- PC literate with demonstrated proficiency in MS Office suite.
Qualifications
- Understanding or previous experience of Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Experience of working for a US listed company.
- Experience using Oracle.
- Understanding or previous experience in External Audit, Internal Audit, Risk/Internal Controls, and/or Compliance.
SkillsExcellent communication skills (written and oral).
